Design of the New Chevy Silverado 1500

The new Silverado is built with a high-strength steel frame that supports a longer wheelbase and helps reduce road noise while improving your overall ride quality. One fact we found interesting is that the short bed Silverado 1500 provides more cargo capacity than a standard bed Ford F-150, allowing you to carry more gear than ever. We're big fans of the CornerStep bumper, since it makes it easy to get into and out of that bed when you need to load and unload.

Powerful Performance for Drivers Around Bay Minette

The standard 4.3-liter V6 engine makes 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque, but there are a number of other engine options available to meet your Saraland driving needs. These range from a 2.7-liter turbo that pushes out 310 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque to a 6.2-liter V8 that manufactures 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

Chevy Silverado 1500 Trim Levels

Silverado 1500 Work Truck: The Base-level model of Chevy Silverado 1500. The convenient corner-step rear bumper comes standard. As does Chevy's Infotainment 3 system with a seven-inch touchscreen, Apple, Android and Bluetooth integration. You get driver-assist features like a rear-view camera and Teen Driver program.
Silverado 1500 Custom: The Silverado Custom takes all the great features of the Work Truck and throws in features like cruise control and remote entry. Cloth seats provide a comfortable ride. The standard rubber floor mats help protect your interior. 20-inch wheels and front tow hooks make forcibly moving objects fun.
Silverado Custom Trail Boss: This work horse lives up to its name. With an available V8 engine and automatic locking rear differential, it can take whatever punishment you feel like dishing out. The Trail Boss is only available in a 4X4. Towing is made easy with a hitch guidance system included in the trailering package.
Silverado 1500 LT: Comes with a 310-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Automatic Start/Stop allows for fuel efficiency and saves engine wear and tear. You can sit where you want with the optional 10-way power adjustable seat. The driver information screen is larger than lower trims. OnStar connection is added to the Infotainment 3 package.
Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss: Similar features to the LT but comes with a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine that boasts 355-horsepower. Adds intimidating exterior trim and dual-outlet exhaust. This trim is ideal for taking off-road.
Silverado 1500 RST: Adds the I-4 turbo with an eight-speed automatic transmission to the bones of the LT trim. The 18-inch all-season tires and cargo bed lights are nice additions. The tailgate includes a lift assist and a power lock. Look for the hidden storage space under the front seat.
Silverado 1500 LTZ: Built more for a comfortable ride while still providing powerful V8 engine. You'll be riding in style on the leather upholstery and heated front seats. Adds a navigation on the infotainment system. The trailer brake control comes in handy when hauling.
Silverado 1500 High Country: This is the top-level trim for the Chevy Silverado 1500. Once you start it up, hear the growl of the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine. The top-tier infotainment package comes with the Bose sound system. Adds driver assist features like, cross-traffic alert and forward collision detection. It rides on 20-inch wheels and with the power up-and-down tailgate and chrome side-steps, loading things gets so much easier.

The Z71 package adds more spirit to your off-road experience. Equipped with unique off-road suspension, skid plate and automatic locking rear differential. It is available on the WT, LT and High Country trim levels.

Available Cab Configurations

Inside the Silverado 1500, you'll find plenty of room for you and your crew. In fact, the Silverado 1500 gives you four cab configurations to choose from to fit your needs. Take your pick: The Regular Cab, Crew Cab, or Double Cab.

Also Consider the Chevy Silverado 1500 LD

We don't want to confuse things, but Bay Minette and Baldwin County drivers can also opt to put a Silverado 1500 LD model to work for them. This model doesn't come in as many trim levels or body styles, but it makes up for that by delivering better towing and gross combined weight ratings than the Silverado 1500. One other major difference? The Silverado 1500 LD is equipped with one engine: a 5.3-liter V8 that produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.
